Ancient, ancient truss

The light is about to turn red.

Market and Prospect streets

Amsterdam's other truss is located near the city center. If you go further south, you will drive down a steep hill. Amsterdam, like Albany, has a downtown and some neighborhoods that are on the same level as the river, while some of the residential area is on higher ground. The signal is a GE unit; note the control box on top of the signal. It looks like Crouse-Hinds manufactured it. Photo taken 4 July 2002.

Travel further up Market Street, and meet this GE signal.

This also has an ancient truss. The signal is interesting, too.
